About BallotReady

We believe democracy is built on transparent information. By aggregating democracy’s data from every level of government and making it actionable via accessible products, BallotReady works to enable all constituents to fully participate in civic life.

BallotReady is on a mission to make democracy work the way it should by helping constituents across the U.S. vote and vote informed on every race and measure on their ballot. BallotReady provides personalized, nonpartisan information to voters in all 50 states. In addition, BallotReady helps voters register, make a plan to vote, and look up their elected representatives. BallotReady helps impassioned voters scale their impact and get out the vote with tools for Super Voters and Ballot Parties.

BallotReady for Organizations fuels efforts by companies and organizations to recruit candidates and inform and turn out voters through a customized digital platform, working with companies like Spotify, Tinder, and Snapchat to mobilize users nationwide.

BallotReady was founded by two University of Chicago classmates, Alex Niemczewski and Aviva Rosman. Launched in 2015 with paper voter guides for the Chicago mayoral election, BallotReady now helps millions of constituents take action with data on hundreds of thousands of candidates and elected officials. BallotReady is backed by the University of Chicago, the National Science Foundation, and the Knight Foundation and is committed to making democracy work the way it should.
